Welcome to myVLD, South Georgia! 🌳

Hey, South Georgia — welcome to myVLD. 👋

This is our first official community post, and it feels fitting to start with a simple introduction.

myVLD is a new community platform built specifically for South Georgia — a place to keep up with what’s happening around us, share what’s going on in your community, discover local businesses, follow weather and emergency information, talk with your neighbors, and stay connected to the places we call home.

We’re starting here in Valdosta and across communities throughout South Georgia, but myVLD isn’t meant to be about one city. It’s about all of us.

Over time, you’ll see local news, weather, community discussions, events, business information, service and outage updates, traffic, sports, public safety information, and a whole lot more come together in one place.

Most importantly, though, this is supposed to be a community.

So introduce yourself. Tell us what town you’re from. Share something happening where you live. Recommend a local restaurant. Ask a question. Post a picture. Let people know about an event. Help somebody discover something they didn’t know was right down the road.

We built myVLD for South Georgia.

Now it’s time for South Georgia to make it its own. 🌳

Welcome to myVLD.

Our town. Our stories. Our community.
